The USS Kirk was a Federation starship in service under the command of Captain Thelin in 2409. It saw action against both the Undine and the Klingons during the Federation-Klingon War.
History
On stardate 83189.1, the Kirk, under the command of Captain Thelin, led a small Federation task force to the P'Jem system to fend off the Plok'tau, an Undine dreadnought that had infiltrated Federation space. The USS Leviathan had already been engaged with the Plok'tau and was nearly destroyed before the Kirk arrived. The task force succeeded in destroying the dreadnought, albeit sustaining some casualties along the way. Afterward, Thelin asked Lieutenant Jason Fredricks if the Leviathan could make it back to Earth Spacedock under its own power.
