For other uses of "Thomas", see Thomas.

Thomas Fredricks was a male Human who lived during the 24th and 25th centuries. He served in Starfleet as a warp field theorist[citation needed] at Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards[1] and held the rank of lieutenant commander as of 2409.

He was married to a botanist named Maria and they had a son named Jason, who was also in Starfleet.

Biography[]

Starfleet Academy[]

Thomas had a bit of a negative reputation at Starfleet Academy that lasted well after he had graduated. At least one graduate from the Class of 2408 knew a bit about him.[1]

Thomas graduated from Starfleet Academy in 2384.[citation needed]

Service at Utopia Planitia[]

Thomas was assigned to the Utopia Planitia Fleet Yards in 2397 to assist in developing more efficient forms of space travel.[citation needed]

Thomas was indirectly mocked by Cadet Daniel Harvey for enlisting at Utopia Planitia rather than the front lines of the Federation-Klingon War. Sofia Wenner, another cadet, rebutted, stating that there was nothing wrong with enlisting at Utopia Planitia.[1]

His career came into question in 2409 after a disagreement between he and his superior officer.[2]

Relationships[]

Family[]

Thomas and his son, Jason, had a complicated relationship, to say the least.[citation needed]

During his valedictory at the Starfleet Academy Class of 2408 graduation ceremony, Jason thanked Thomas and Maria for "standing by" him.[1]

Starfleet[]

Nicholas Wells[]

According to Remus Wells, Thomas and Nicholas Wells were best friends during their Academy days. Thomas would often stay at the Wells' house during this time.[3]
