- T'Vrell first appeared in the original draft of "Khitomer Crisis", written in ca. December 2012, as a male Vulcan named Tovak. Her name and gender were changed shortly before its rewrite on 2 January 2014.
- In Star Trek Online, she is recruited by the player as a bridge officer during the Federation tutorial.
