As a result, B'Elanna wanted to have Miral undergo gene therapy ''in utero'', and even sabotaged [[the Doctor]]'s program to have him do so, but ultimately, her husband, [[Tom Paris]], helped her to come to terms with her insecurities. Later, after reversing the alterations to the Doctor, Torres asked the Doctor to be the baby's godfather, to which he elatedly accepted.<ref name="Lineage">{{VOY|Lineage}}</ref>

Miral was fiercely protective of Janeway, threatening to break the arm of two Klingons who accused Janeway of being disrespectful. Miral Paris was a female part-Human, part-Klingon who lived during the 24th and 25th centuries. She served in Starfleet[1] as security chief[citation needed] of the USS Kirk[2] and held the rank of lieutenant as of 2409.[1]

She was the daughter of Tom Paris and B'Elanna Torres, officers aboard the Federation starship USS Voyager.[3]

Miral was seen by some within the Klingon Empire as the Kuvah'magh – translated as "the savior of our people" – and perhaps even "the next Kahless or T'Kuvma."[2]
