Biography[edit | edit source]
Earlier in his career, he served on the USS Enterprise-E under Captain Jean-Luc Picard. During his time on the Enterprise, he picked up the habit of calling his first officer "number one" from Picard.
He was captain of the USS Leviathan from 2402 to 2409, when he was abducted by the Klingons, and afterward declared missing in action.[4]
A few months after his abduction, he was put in Hassan the Undying's arena on Nimbus III. For the next six months, he fought for his life in the arena, waiting for the day when he could "walk out [the] door a free man."[5]
