Jessik Cameo was a female Bajoran who served in Starfleet during the 25th century as a security officer on the USS Leviathan. She held the rank of ensign as of 2409.[1]
Biography
Early life
Cameo was born on Bajor as the daughter of spice merchants. During her childhood, her parents would take her with them to Deep Space 9 to sell their goods. It was during this time that she met Cardassians for the first time. She had grown to hate Cardassians after hearing stories about the Occupation of Bajor. The ones who interacted with her and her family, however, were not like the Cardassians she had been told about. One bought her a jumja stick when it seemed he had frightened her by his appearance. These events changed her opinion on Cardassians, and taught her not to hate an entire race indiscriminately.[2]
Service on the USS Leviathan
On stardate 83738.2, Cameo accompanied an away team led by Dylyp Azeli to the USS Kirk, which had been boarded by Klingons. The captain of the IKS Baj, Targan, captured one of the Kirk's officers, Miral Paris, and took her back to his ship. Kardok then showed up and offered his assistance in dealing with the Baj. Cameo and the rest of the away team went with Kardok to his ship, the IKS SuvwI'.
While Kardok spoke to Dylyp about an important matter, Cameo and the others were led to the mess hall by one of Kardok's officers, S'lade Zdanas. She believed that Romulans, Remans, and Klingons getting along spelled trouble.[3]
