Hercules was a rhyl that Lucas Wells obtained and kept as a pet. He brought it to the bridge to show off to his crewmates. At the time, Lucas had not yet named it, but he was considering Hercules. He noted that his family was rather fond of Roman names.[1]
Appendices[]
Background and trivia[]
- Hercules was named after the Roman god of strength and heroes. In the original version of "The Lost City of Paradise", Lucas Wells stated that he would choose between Hercules and a Roman name, but this presented a plot hole, as Hercules is from Roman mythology. CaptFredricks likely confused him with the similar Greek god, Heracles.
