The bat'leth was a bladed Klingon weapon used in close combat.[1]
History
At some point in 2270, Kardok and B'vat, who had traveled back in time from 2409, dueled to the death with their bat'leths. During the fight, B'vat managed to stab Kardok in the abdomen, but it was not enough to immobilize him. Kardok ultimately killed B'vat, stabbing him between his spine and shoulder blade, saving Jason Fredricks from being impaled.[2]
At least one member of a Klingon boarding party from the IKS Chot wielded a bat'leth. He used it while fighting Jason in the engine room of the USS Leviathan, but he was shot from a distance by Lucas Wells.[1]
